With every new season means a new opportunity to switch up our approach to entertaining. Much like the summer, I still like to entertain outside *as much as possible* in the fall. But, since the temps have dropped you have to add a cozy vibe to your take. Luckily the temperature isn’t too cool in Lexington around Halloween, just enough to need a fire and blanket (and a s’more or three). Halloween is my favorite and our street takes trick-or-treat very seriously (much like myself). So I like to have all my friends and family over for chili, s’mores and passing out candy!
I set our back porch up to be cute + cozy– with lots of blankets and pillows and sweet treats! For the sake of this shoot I placed the pumpkins in the fireplace, but for the night of we just place them around as decor so we can actually light the fire for a little heat. The lanterns have faux candles in them (with the realistic looking wick) to add a little ambiance. I carried the theme of real greens from our indoor tablescape outside as the centerpiece of one of our tables.
