10 things to do this fall

Happy National Coffee Day, where addicts *raises hand* can practice safe caffeine consumption and laugh it off as “celebrating”!! So now that I am on my third cup and have enough coffee in my system to get my day going, I have a fall rant coming your way. If you even kinda, sorta know me… you know that I am so beyond obsessed with all things fall and Halloween. Here is my to do list:

1. Visit an apple orchard:
Because who wants to buy apples from the grocery store when you can go to your local orchard and pick your own… and maybe eat 10,000 calories while you’re there (read: apple doughnuts, caramel apples, apple slushies, apple pies… apples are life) plus take so many insta pics #cute4life.

2. Go on a hike:
Breathe in the crisp, fall air. Take in all of the changing leaves. Even grab your pup to drag along with you. Get your steps in while you can… old man winter is all too close.

3. Watch some football:
Okay, Okay. I am the first to admit that I am not the biggest football/sports fan… but I love all of the festivities that surround football games. I love to be outside without actually sweating, so tailgating in October is right up my alley.

4. Go on a hayride:
Allergies permitting… Throw on your blanket scarf and hop up on the wagon. Who doesn’t love to be pulled around by a horse to, once again, look at all the pretty fall trees?

5. Bake lots of treats:
Because is it really fall if you are not consuming at least one pumpkin flavored baked good a day? I think not. Here are a few of the yummy treats (s/o pinterest) I am trying out this season:

  1. monster munch trail mix
  2. pumpkin spice marshmallow cookies
  3. mini pumpkin pies

6. Have a bonfire:
Warm up by the fire and grab some ‘mallows… nothing beats a little s’mores by the bonfire!! I just love the sound of crackling wood – and I don’t mean the kind your bath and body works candle makes. it’s all about the firelogs!

7. Pumpkin carving/painting:
While you’re at the orchard, pick up a variety of pumpkins and gourds to sit out on your porch so all of your neighbors know just how much you love to celebrate the fall season. I tend to paint and glitter my pumpkins, I’m not to be trusted with sharp objects..

8. HALLOWEEN MOVIES:
grab your pumpkin spice latte and curl up on the couch for the best binge watching event of the year. entire schedule here. thank me later!!

9. Blanket scarves:
a blanket that is socially acceptable to wear in public? count me in.

10. Flavored hot drinks:
1. pumpkin spice latte 2. pumpkin flavored coffe 3. apple pie flavored coffee 4. hot cocoa 5. apple cider (in no particular order of preference… i can’t rank my beverages).
