It’s that time of year once again– where every blogger is gabbing on and on about the hashtag nsale… and guess what? I’m no different because this Nordstrom Sale IS WORTH THE HYPE. It’s a huge event where brand new items are marked down, not last season’s picked over stuff, and tons of pre-fall items, like denim and sweaters! This is the time to stock up on designer or anything cashmere, leather and suede because the price will never be this low again, y’all– and lets be real, cashmere, leather and suede N E V E R go out of style.

So, let’s chat LOGISTICS + DATES:

July 12-19: early access begins for card members… don’t have a card? apply HERE. While it’s nice getting first dibs with the card, it’s NBD if you wait until public access– there’s plenty to go around PLUS you’ll get the added bonus of seeing what all of us are shopping and how it fits.. etc.

July 20-August 5: public access for errrrrbody!

TIP: add items that you have seen are part of the sale (via my instagram, stories and blog posts) into your cart before you even have access to the sale and once public access goes live– BOOM complete payment *with sale prices*!

WHAT TO BUY?

Like I mentioned earlier, these aren’t last season’s items that didn’t sell– they are brand new! These items will go back up to a normal price (and probably stay there for the rest of the season, if they don’t sell out) on August 6th. So, if you see something you like and think you’ll wear a lot– DON’T HESITATE! Because chances are, someone else is thinking the same thing and that item won’t last long. This is where I stock up designer staples: leather jackets, suede jackets, denim, cashmere sweaters, leather booties, suede boots, designer bags… you get the picture. I snagged my FAVORITE pair of rag & bone booties last year for a fraction of the price. All my leather jackets? NSale purchases.

I know sales are overwhelming and kinda frustrating, but I am HERE TO HELP YOU! So avoid the chaos and pages and pages of items and let me do the heavy lifting. I will comb through those pages tirelessly so y’all don’t have to– trust. I am also going to be doing TONS of try on sessions so y’all get the full and honest truth about fit + how I style each item.

HOW AM I PLANNING ON COVERING THE SALE ON OTTESTYLE?

I plan on doing an entire post tomorrow (Thursday) on my favorite items from the sale, categorizing them as: leather jackets, denim, shoes, suede jackets, bags, accessories and beauty. On Friday I will be showing you exactly what was in my cart and what I chose those items– hopefully providing a little insight into how to shop this beast of a sale. On Monday/Tuesday (hopefully when my package arrives) I will do a try on haul reviewing quality + sizing of each item (in great detail) and sharing how I plan to style the pieces. Then, I’ll fill in that week with regularly scheduled programming. But back at it on Friday the 20th to refresh my favorites in each category for public access! We’ll see how the rest of the sale shakes out from here– y’all be sure to let me know how you want me to cover this sale. I hope to be super informative but I also don’t want to overwhelm y’all and wear you out with it… I know by August 5th a lot of y’all hope to never hear any of us say hashtag n sale ever again…. until next year 😉
